The International Conference for Women (WaSH) was held for the first time in November 2012 in Bratislava. The Women's Hunting Club in Slovakia and future WG Artemis CIC organized the first WaSH conference.
The second edition of WaSH took place in the Czech Republic at the BechyneCastle, the third in Waageningen in the Netherlands, while the fourth edition of WaSH and the international women's conference - gathered over 70 Huntresses from all around the world in Ilomantsi, in Finland. The conference was organized for the first time in northern Europe and was attended by participants from ten countries. This time there were also participants from Croatia and Poland. Larger groups of participants came from the Netherlands, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The organization of international conferences is a part of the Artemis activities of the Working Group of the International Council for the Conservation of Wild Animals and Wildlife (CIC). It works as a forum and an event concentrating huntresses. The participation of women in hunting organizations in many countries is increasing continually. In Finland alone there are over 22,000 hunting women, and in Poland the number is growing from day to day and now it is over 4000. The main organizer of the event in Poland is the Polish Hunting Association, CIC - International Council for the Protection of Wild and Wild Animals and the Polish Huntresses’ Club of the Polish Hunting Association.
